Delicious plant-based food, creative experiences, and meaningful conversations brought people together to learn and take action for animals and the planet.

NYC Climate Week brought together changemakers, advocates, and the public to explore solutions for a healthier planet. World Animal Protection was proud to organize events again this year that engaged supporters and newcomers alike to spark conversation, inspire action, and highlight the critical link between animals, food systems, and climate change.

Trivia Night at Vineapple Café

We kicked off Climate Week with a lively trivia night at Vineapple Café in Brooklyn, where dozens of attendees tested their knowledge about climate, animals, and plant-based foods. Guests enjoyed tasty vegan dishes and a complimentary drink, all while learning more about the damaging impacts of industrial animal agriculture on our planet. The energy in the room was electric, with participants eagerly competing for prizes and engaging in discussions about key initiatives to create a food system that does not rely on cruelty and suffering.

Immersive Art Event at NYU

Later in the week, we teamed up with Plant Based Treaty and the Animal Rights Collective at NYU to host a unique, immersive experience. Guests explored a climate-themed art exhibit, enjoyed delicious plant-based foods (are you detecting a common theme?), and experienced a powerful virtual reality installation that showed the environmental impacts of factory farming. The event provided an engaging way to connect creativity with climate advocacy, leaving attendees with a deeper understanding of how everyday choices impact both animals and the planet.
