Lindsay Oliver

Lindsay Oliver

Executive Director

Lindsay (she/her) has been in animal advocacy for over twenty years, operated as a media spokesperson, developed creative and engaging content, and successfully led a multi-country international team. Throughout her career, Lindsay has seen firsthand what happens inside industries that exploit animals, such as factory farms and animal labs, and utilizes this experience to drive real and lasting change for animals.

Elizabeth (Liz, she/her) has ten years of senior leadership experience at various nonprofit organizations. Liz’s extensive experience includes digital mail and direct mail strategy, major giving, sustaining giving, legacy, events, and strategic management. In her work, Liz is constantly inspired by the many people who chose to entrust their giving to animal causes.

Cameron Harsh

Cameron Harsh

Director of Programs

Cameron (they/them) leads the campaigns team in developing and implementing strategies that mobilize people and move stakeholders to protect wild and farmed animals. Before Cameron joined in 2018 as a campaigner, they worked in public policy protecting consumers, the environment, and animals from harmful food production practices, and spent several years in community development. Cameron lives in Washington, DC.

Ari Solomon

Director of Communications

For nearly 20 years, Ari (he/him) has been involved in animal activism, playing a significant role in growing animal nonprofits. He also produced the acclaimed feature documentary “The Animal People,” executive produced by Oscar-winner Joaquin Phoenix. He lives in New Jersey.

Wildlife Campaign Manager

Nicole (she/her) is responsible for our “Wildlife. Not Entertainers” campaign, where she works to end the captive wildlife entertainment industry through public education, corporate engagement, and the development of responsible alternatives. She loves using the power of people and creativity to drive innovative solutions. Nicole lives in New York City.

Liz Cabrera-Holtz

Liz Cabrera-Holtz

Senior Campaigns Manager

Liz (she/her) oversees our Farming and Wildlife Campaign Managers to deliver innovative projects to protect animals from exploitation and abuse. Prior to her current role, Liz was a wildlife campaign manager with a focus on wild animals used as “pets” and roadside zoos. She lives in the Washington, DC area with her husband, three children, four cats, and two dogs.

Miguel Endara

Miguel Endara

Programs Manager

Miguel (he/him) has over 10 years of experience working as a filmmaker and producer with a focus on animal rights and environmental issues. Prior to joining World Animal Protection, Miguel also served as a guest speaker who has presented to over 15,000 students in schools, colleges, and universities. His talks provided vital information about how a plant-based food system can have a significant positive impact on the animals, the environment, and our health.

Office Manager

Julie (she/her) has over twenty years of experience in office operations, finance, and human resources. She continues to be fueled by her passion and dedication to improving the lives of both people and animals. Julie lives in New York, where she loves connecting with nature. Julie is an avid hiker and loves to garden.

Emily (she/her) is driven by the shared belief of World Animal Protection’s supporters that animals deserve compassion and care. She brings over a decade of experience with various animal organizations and efforts. Emily enjoys building meaningful relationships with donors and connecting them to our impactful work in creating lasting change for animals. She and her husband live in Maine with their two dogs, Blueberry and Maggie.

Kara King

Kara King

Development Manager

Kara (she/her) joined World Animal Protection in 2022 with over five years of fundraising and communications experience. She supports the development team in accomplishing their goals and oversees a variety of channels, including workplace giving, corporate partnerships, and legacy giving. She is thrilled to accomplish her long-desired career goal of supporting animal protection and advocacy. Kara lives in New Jersey and enjoys spending time at home with her husband, two rabbits, and dog.

Kimber Leblicq

Kimber Leblicq

Chief Philanthropy Officer

Kimber (she/her) facilitates our global philanthropic strategies and enables us to grow our income to make change for animals. She’s co-led fundraising campaigns at Seattle Audubon, NatureBridge, and American Institute of Architects, and served as a founding board member for Chimpanzee Sanctuary Northwest for chimpanzees discarded from the entertainment and biomedical testing industries.

McKenzie Mak

McKenzie Mak

Community Engagement Manager

McKenzie’s (she/her) primary focus is aiding in developing and implementing agribusiness campaign initiatives. McKenzie has a background in animal legislation and advocacy with various other organizations. She is based in Washington, DC with her boyfriend and cat named Mrow. McKenzie enjoys playing guitar and piano and going to the rock-climbing gym in her free time.

Meganne Natale

Marketing and Communications Assistant

Meganne (she/her) executes World Animal Protection’s digital marketing strategy by managing digital assets and web for the Communications team. She began her career in the cosmetics and fragrance industry advocating for cruelty-free product testing while volunteering at NYC animal rescues. In her free time, Meganne enjoys reading, scuba diving, playing piano, cooking plant-based food, and spending time with her Lab Husky pup, Moon.

Naomi Silverman

Senior Philanthropy Manager

Naomi (she/her) is a lifelong animal rights activist and has spent the past ten years leading development efforts to support healthy food access and sustainable agriculture. She believes all animals deserve to live free from suffering and loves to share her passion for animal rights with partners and supporters. Naomi lives in Austin, Texas with her two cats Benny and Mau.

Angela Stevenson

Global Media and Communications Manager

As a journalist and manager for the International Media Team, Angela (she/her) is responsible for increasing World Animal Protection’s global media coverage. Angela has 13+ years of experience in public relations, social development programs, and non-profits. Before joining World Animal Protection, she worked in girls’ education in NYC and social development programs in Colombia. Angela lives in NYC and loves art, animals, nature, and travel.

Jeanne Turkheimer

Jeanne Turkheimer

Communications and Influencer Relations Manager

Jeanne (she/her) is responsible for World Animal Protection US’s media efforts. She generates press coverage for the organization in print, digital, and broadcast outlets while positioning World Animal Protection’s campaign managers as thought leaders in the animal welfare space. Jeanne also spearheads our Influencer Relations program by identifying new influencers to collaborate with and finding ways to leverage their platforms to further World Animal Protection’s mission.
