Tamerlaine Sanctuary & Preserve

World Animal Protection has partnered with Tamerlaine Sanctuary & Preserve—a place where rescued farmed animals finally experience safety, dignity, and love.

Nestled in rural northwestern New Jersey, Tamerlaine Sanctuary & Preserve has spent more than a decade rescuing animals from the cruelty of the food system and giving them a chance to heal. But Tamerlaine’s mission goes far beyond sanctuary. Through education and storytelling, the team helps people truly see farmed animals for who they are: individuals with personalities, emotions, and a deep desire to live.

At Tamerlaine, every animal is treated like family. From specialized rehabilitation and physical therapy to individualized nutrition and compassionate daily care, nothing is overlooked. Here, animals don’t just survive—they thrive.

Animals like Thelma and Louise, two turkeys saved from slaughter at the very last moment by a worker who couldn’t bear their fate. Or Albee, a resilient piglet left to die on a dead pile, now living safely in a forever home because someone chose compassion.

Thanks to your support, this new partnership will shine a brighter light on stories like these—stories of resilience, recovery, and hope. Together, World Animal Protection and Tamerlaine will amplify the voices of animals harmed by factory farming and inspire lasting change in how our food system treats them. Everything we do begins and ends with animals. Because of you, more animals are seen, protected, and given the lives they were born to live.
