These Black-owned vegan restaurants across the country deliver on flavor while skipping the animal cruelty.
1. Slutty Vegan
Locations: Atlanta, GA; Jonesboro, GA; Birmingham, AL; Brooklyn, NY; Baltimore, MD; Brandon, FL
We’ve spoken before about Slutty Vegan because it’s just that good—your favorite fast-food classics, taken up a few notches and made entirely vegan.
An added bonus is that its menu item names (like “Hollywood Hooker” and “One Night Stand”) are just as unforgettable as its delicious flavors.
2. Down 2 Earth
Location: Las Vegas, Nevada
If you’re looking for a spot where you can order vegan pizza, mac n’cheese, buffalo wings, hoagies, AND scrumptious desserts, Down 2 Earth is the place for you.
Its mentality is “seasoned, never bland,” which pretty much means your taste buds will be well taken care of the next time you’re hungry in Vegas.
3. Deep Sea Vegan
Location: Mobile food truck in Nashville, TN
World Animal Protection was lucky enough to partner with Deep Sea Vegan for Dine Vegan Nashville 2025, and we can say first-hand that its food is the real deal!
As a fellow scuba diver and vegan, I love how Deep Sea Vegan incorporates its passion for diving and animals into its food (its vegan fried fish sandwich is a bestseller).
4. Bunna Cafe
Location: Brooklyn, NY
It’s hard for me not to get over-the-top excited when talking about Bunna, because it is truly one of my top five best restaurants I’ve ever been to.
Bunna serves entirely vegan Ethiopian food, with massive plates perfect for splitting with loved ones—some unforgettable memories have happened while indulging in Bunna’s amazing food!
5. Cookies A’More
Locations: Los Angeles, CA; Las Vegas, NV; Online Ordering
If you’re like me and seem to have a killer sweet tooth (but not quite the baking skills required to satisfy it), spending on some vegan desserts is always a good idea.
Cookies A’More offers a variety of cookies, no matter your craving—rocky road, peanut butter, strawberry iced, classic chocolate chip, and more. One of the best things about this business is that you can order its cookies online and have them shipped nationwide; no travel required!
6. Your Organic Inner G
Location: Chicago, IL
Sometimes, you need something that’s just plain nourishing—that’s when Your Organic Inner G steps in (I’m personally drooling over their juices!)
7. Sweet Art
Location: St. Louis, MO
Sweet Art is a fully vegan bakeshop and café known for more than its delectable desserts—it has cozy offerings like lavender lattes as well as savory staples like crabless cakes and cauliflower bites. The perfect place to eat breakfast AND lunch!
