Pledge to help elephants break free from cruelty

More than 3,000 elephants are in captivity for tourism in Asia, and most live in unacceptable conditions. Day in, day out, they're cruelly forced to take tourists for rides and perform in shows. Baby elephants are separated from their mothers at a young age, then subjected to painful training which prepares them for a life of misery entertaining tourists.

Pledge your support for elephants now. After World Elephant Day on August 12, we'll use your voice to prove to travel companies and tourist attractions that there's a high demand for elephant-friendly experiences. Together, we can move the world so more elephant attractions adopt high-welfare standards.

Add your name below to help the elephant break free.

Elephant-friendly alternatives

Learn more about the highest-welfare venues we found in Asia in our digital report.

At this small number of venues, elephants are offered the best possible care, and neither rides nor shows are offered to tourists.
