We’re not pulling any tricks–these delicious candies happen to be cruelty-free!

1. Skittles

In 2010, Skittles announced a new gelatin-free formula. Gelatin is a protein derived from animals.

2. Sour Patch Kids

These little sweet and sour gummies are totally cruelty-free! The formula does not contain gelatin.

3. Twizzlers

Twizzlers are made without gelatin and carmine red coloring–both of which contain animal products. Whew!

4. Smarties

Not only are Smarties cruelty-free, but they’re also allergen friendly! You’d be smart to pick up some of these this Halloween!

5. Dum-Dum Pops

Is it lollipops or suckers? No matter what you call them, these Dum-Dums are a Halloween classic. Thankfully, Dum-Dums don’t contain any animal products!

6. Jolly Ranchers

These sweet and simple treats are a jolly-good option because they don’t contain any animal ingredients!

7. Pixie Sticks

A personal favorite of my childhood, Pixie Sticks might as well be pure flavored sugar. In these sweet treats, there are no animal products to be found!

8. Dots

While Dots aren’t the most popular Halloween candy for children, if they happen to be in a variety pack at the store, rest assured they are cruelty-free! There is no gelatin, confectioners’ sugar, or carmine coloring–all of which are made from animals.

9. Laffy Taffy

The fun-sized Laffy Taffy flavors are cruelty-free! Beware, however, of the full-sized Laffy Taffy bars because they contain eggs.

You’ve probably bought and love these sweets already! These common household names like Skittles and Sour Patch Kids make buying cruelty-free treats easier than ever before (just make sure to buy an extra bag for yourself). Check out our blog which highlights plant-based online grocers to find even more delicious cruelty-free candy.
