Tiger in the wild

Good businesses are good to animals

World Animal Protection, the global animal welfare organization, is urging Groupon to stop supporting animal cruelty.

Groupon sells deals to attractions that exploit wild animals for entertainment and profit, keeping generations of animals in captivity, and causing untold suffering. This includes well-known exploiters like SeaWorld as well as dozens of smaller roadside zoos, animal encounters, and illegitimate “sanctuaries.”

While we’re not a finance or investment company, we do know one thing.

Groupon’s share value is at an all-time low and it’s paying a price for continuing to do business with animal exploitation. Removing all captive wildlife experiences permanently will ensure Groupon remains competitive with its peers and take the company in a new, more sustainable direction.

World Animal Protection has worked with Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia Group, and many other travel and experience brands on their animal welfare commitments.

Groupon, let’s work together next.
