Tucker

Tucker, a long-tailed macaque, arrived at Black Pine after being removed from a neglectful situation in Kentucky. He needed some medical care when he arrived at Black Pine, but he’s since settled in and is doing well. His story is a reminder of why wild animals belong in the wild, not in homes. Long-tailed macaques are currently listed as Endangered.

Tucker’s menu consists of a mix of fresh produce and leafy greens, plus protein and commercial biscuits. He LOVES straw enrichment! His caregivers tuck little treats into the straw, and he happily forages through it to find them. He’s also a big fan of ripping up cardboard and paper.
