During one of Six Flags’s busiest weekends, we brought together 40 animal advocates to pressure the park to send Joyce and its other elephants to sanctuary.
This past weekend, animal advocates from all over New Jersey came together to protest for Joyce and the other elephants currently being held captive at Six Flags Great Adventure. With a total of 40 (!) protesters, it was no doubt our voices were heard.
Our event was also covered by Asbury Park Press: Protestors urge Six Flags to free elephants, move them to sanctuary
This event could not have been a success without our local partners. A huge shout-out to the Animal Protection League of New Jersey (APLNJ), NJ Animal Save Movement, Free All Captive Elephants, Tamerlaine Farm Sanctuary, and the Animal Rights Activists of New Jersey for helping to bring everyone together.
