Blog

By

We wanted you to be the first to know that we have appointed Lindsay Oliver (she/her) as our new US Executive Director!

Lindsay has been in animal advocacy for over twenty years. From a young age, she was drawn to helping animals which lead her to pursue a career as an undercover animal cruelty investigator. She’s witnessed the cruelty we fight firsthand, built campaigns against some of the largest companies in the world, and has secured exclusive coverage with top media outlets.

We are really excited to welcome Lindsay onboard the US team, and we wanted you to hear directly from her yourself! Please find a note from Lindsay below to all our supporters.

A message from Lindsay

I am beyond thrilled to have joined World Animal Protection and look forward to continuing the great work we do thanks to supporters like you! Since I was a toddler, snuggled up with our family dog, my life’s path was clear--to help animals.

After graduating from college with a BS in Marketing, I turned down a corporate gig and got a job as an undercover animal cruelty investigator. Determined to see for myself what happens inside some of the world’s most hidden industries, I spent years on the frontlines covertly filming abuse at circuses, zoos, pet stores, puppy mills, factory farms, and research facilities.

When I’m not working with our great team to save animals, I enjoy writing, reading, and spending time outdoors.

In the coming months I can’t wait to share all of the amazing work we’re doing to end animal suffering. Together, we can move the world to end animal cruelty. Forever.

We are really excited to welcome Lindsay onboard the US team, and we wanted you to hear directly from her yourself!
