Write an individual letter
Thank you for taking the initiative to help farmed animals!
It’s been estimated that a handwritten letter has 100 times the impact of a petition signature. It’s more personal and shows a much greater level of interest and awareness. Your handwritten letter will go a long way towards moving big businesses like Walmart and lawmakers across the US to supporting high-welfare farmed animal intiatives. We have put together a few resources for you to use in order to make the letter-writing process as seamless as possible. Below you will find links for letter templates, a letter writing checklist, as well as a form for you to submit your information once you've sent out your letter.
As a reminder, these resources are simply guidelines to steer you in the right direction - we encourage you to use your voice and write from your heart!
We currently have two letter writing opportunities to help farmed animals across the nation:
- Walmart: Tell Walmart to publicly commit to sourcing fresh pork only from suppliers that do not keep mother pigs in cages. Learn more >
- Michigan: Protect Michigan's anti-animal cruelty law by demanding your local lawmakers to protect or strengthen this crucial law. Learn more >
Once you've chosen completed your letter(s), please send it to their respective address:
Mr. Doug McMillon

Don't forget to report it! Use the submission form on this page or follow this link to let us know that you've sent your letter. We want to be able to track the success of this campaign as well as acknowledge those of you who have taken the time to give their voice to the voiceless.
Additionally, feel free to send us photos of you with your letter and we may just feature you on our social channels! Email them to firstname.lastname@example.org or share them on social media with us:
Now that you've sent your letter, consider spreading the word to your friends and family! A great way to get others involved is to host a letter writing party. Gather up people in your community and show them how easy it is to support this cause and how urgently these animals need their help.
